The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (branded and marketed as Samsung Galaxy Note5) is anAndroid phablet smartphone developed and produced by Samsung Electronics. The Galaxy Note 5, along with the Galaxy S6 Edge+, was unveiled during a Samsung press conference inNew York City on 13 August 2015.[7][8] It is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The phone became available in the U.S. on 21 August 2015.[4]
Similar to the Galaxy S6, the construction of the device was revamped, with a metal unibodyframe, glass instead of faux leather backing, and a newer, metal stylus. The back of the device is curved on both sides for easy handling. Due to the newer design, the Note 5 is the first in theNote series of phones that does not have a user-removable battery, nor a micro SD card slot. And the Battery did shrink for the first time, (to from 3200 to 3000 mAh) to keep the design as slim as possible. The Note 5 does also not have theMHL-MicroHDMI-Output. Air View and other Various Features are also erased. But the Design of the Note 5 looks like an S6 Edge + with the Screen on the other side.

[hide]Sales
The Galaxy Note 5 was first released in Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore on 15 August 2015,[9][10] and became available in the U.S on 21 August 2015 from all four major carriers.[4] However, Samsung has no plans to sell the device in Europe in 2015, and is selling the Galaxy S6 Edge+ there instead.[11] On 23 August, Samsung announced that over 75,000 units of the Note 5 and S6 Edge+ were sold in Korea within 3 days of its release.[12][13]
Reception
In the The Verge review, the author stated "The design is stunning and humane, but there are trade-offs". The phone was given the score of 8.7 out of 10 praising the display, performance and the stylus but criticized the non user-removable battery, no availability of 128 GB internal storage option and MicroSD card expansion and also its price.[14]
Problems
S Pen Backward Insertion
Unlike its predecessors, the S Pen can be inserted backwards in the Note 5. It has been noticed that if the user accidentally inserts the S Pen backwards in the device, it could result to permanent damage to the stylus and the device where the spring mechanism of the stylus becomes damaged or gets stuck in the stylus slot. This can also damage the S Pen detection feature, rendering the stylus useless for the device.[15][16] However, Samsung was aware of this issue and insisted that the users should read the instruction manual before using the device.[
